Chelmsford Public School serves the town of Rayside-Balfour including the communities of Azilda and Chelmsford north to Morgan Road and west to Vermillion Lake Road.
With an enrolment of 278 students, Chelmsford Public School offers both English and French Immersion programs from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6 with two Intensive Support classes (ISP). Programming in ISP classes develops life and self-advocacy skills as well as literacy and numeracy skills in primary and junior students. We also offer an Early Intervention class which provides behavioural support, social skills, as well as literacy and numeracy skills to primary students.
Many extra-curricular activities and special events such as the guitar club, green club, student parliament, breakfast club, spirit days, Science and Heritage Fairs, choir, homework club, intramural and extramural sports enrich student life at Chelmsford Public School. These activities build team and school spirit and are supported by a strong parent and community partnership. Character education is also an important part of daily life at Chelmsford Public School. We believe that a positive growth mindset will encourage students to become more resilient and persevere in their endeavours.
Licensed childcare services are offered at Chelmsford Public School through Our Children Our Future’s before and after school program. If you are in need of these services please phone the city at 311 for details.
